Living in South Florida, I see a lot of plantation shutters. Not much else helps to create the airy and tropical feel than a beautiful plantation shutter. Curtains add texture and softness to a room so in using shutters you often need to bring in that texture in another way like pillows, rugs, or furniture. Here are a few rooms that I love that feature the perfect mix of softness and shutters!
Plantation shutters are pricey but in my opinion a wonderful addition to most any home whether you live here in sunny Florida or up north.
