Restroom Before and After

Hi all!

I hope you had a nice weekend!  I got a few things done around the house and even got in a bit of relaxing!  M is 17 months now and is going non-stop so relaxing and accomplishing something is a big deal around here. ;)

A local shopping center asked for my help in redecorating their family restroom and this new mama was happy to help.  I love it when public places offer places for nursing because it really does make getting out with a little one so much easier.....it's one less thing to worry about (where am I going to nurse??).  The budget wasn't huge but I love finding a good deal so I jumped at the chance!

Here are the before pictures.  It wasn't pretty.  We not only wanted to improve the look but we also wanted it to be a bit more functional (i.e. chairs you could comfortably nurse in).  We partnered with Z Gallerie and Pottery Barn Kids to get all of the furniture and art, which helped with the budget quite a bit!

And here are the afters:  I didn't change the actual bathroom portion as it wasn't in the budget and it functions just fine as it is.

I love this tile made to look like hardwoods.  In hindsight I wish I would have gone with the black grout instead of the dark brown as it looks a bit light for my taste.

Still needed:  a pillow or two, a changing pad cover and maybe a plant to make it a bit more homey.

Paint is SW Blue Horizon, the same as in M's nursery.

The chairs are so comfy and the space is so much easier to keep clean, which is a win win in this mama's eyes!

Project Sneak Peek!

Hello!

Thank you for all the kind words and emails.  I appreciate knowing that someone is out there I guess. :) I definitely am going to focus on more original content!

I want to show you a before picture of a space I'm working on.  Only a few more pieces to be delivered and then I can share the afters!

You can only go up....right?! :)

Have a nice weekend!

Before and After Part II

Good morning!
We are back in Florida and while it's good to be home we have 2 weeks of craziness coming up with packing and moving. Did I mention we are driving our 4 pets to KY? 18 hours. With a pregnant lady that has to go to the bathroom at least every 2 hours (on a good day). Right.

Christmas was absolutely wonderful and as always my mother in law continues to out do herself. I got to see a majority of my family including extended family and it was so wonderful to say now we will be only a few hours away! I can't tell you how that fills my heart with joy.

I'm going to continue with the final part of my client, Robin's house this morning. There are again a lot of pictures both before and after. Enjoy!

I hope you have enjoyed this sneak peak into Robin's house. It really shows what you can do with a few well placed accessories, paint, and fabrics.

Have a great day!

Before and After: A Client's Home

Hi all!
I am happy to share with you a client's home that I have been working on for the last several months. Robin and her family had just moved into their beautiful home when I entered the picture. A bright and airy, yet cozy and warm feel was the general look that Robin was going for. We were lucky because she had a lot of great pieces to work with from the start.

This post will be picture heavy with lots of before and after shots.

If you can believe it, these aren't all the rooms we transformed. Stay tuned for the next installment of Robin's house.

Portfolio

Hi all!
Today I'm going to share another addition to my portfolio that I recently completed. My friend moved into a townhouse that needed a major makeover a few months ago. I'm lucky that she allowed me to help in the process and share pictures of the transformation here with you all.

When we began the process I asked her to describe the feel she wanted to achieve in her living room/dining room and she said sophisticated, with clean lines, with a bit of beachy (she lives 2 blocks from the intercoastal) without having literal seashells everywhere.

Here are a few before pictures of the living room
