Spring Loves!

Good morning!

Here are a few things that I have my eye on this spring!

I love this ring and how simple it is. I would love to mix this with a few other stacking rings!

I need these plates! I think they are so cute and would be perfect for Madeleine in a few years!

Have a great day!

Happy Derby Day!

Hi all!

Those of you may not be familiar with the fact that Jacob and I just moved to Louisville a few months ago. Therefore, this is our first Derby here in KY and let me tell you I have learned a few things.

People here call it Derby......not THE Derby or The Kentucky Derby......just Derby. Same with Oaks. Today is the 137th Derby.

Churchill Downs is beautiful and always perfectly manicured

The Derby is called the Running of the Roses and is for the male and female horses and The Oaks is the running of the Lilies because it's just the fillies and is the day before Derby Day. This picture is from the Derby because the horse is decorated in roses

Mint Juleps are nasty and I don't think anyone actually likes them

However, I do really want to start collecting julep cups so I can make arrangements like this

Most people are aware Derby is all about the hats for the ladies

As I'm 8 months pregnant we aren't really taking part in any Derby activities this year but perhaps next year we will get in on the action.

Have a great day!

Patio Progress

Hi all!

It's turned out to be a beautiful spring afternoon and I'm so happy to have a beautiful deck to enjoy it on! Jacob and I have been busy bees readying the deck for company this spring/summer. Mostly we are trying to buy/get things accomplished before baby comes so we can enjoy being outside all summer.

I have always wanted a shrub of some sort in a black urn.....I just think they look awesome. I finally have gotten my wish!

I can't wait for the flowers to bloom and trail more as they should be bright and plentiful at the bottom of the urns. Hi Oliver!

This is the bistro set we have had for years so it's on the deck too making for 2 seating arrangements. I think eventually when we do pavers under the deck it will make it's way down there but for now it's fine as we have a large space to work with.

Here's our glorious new patio set and umbrella that is so comfy!

Here's our new gas ignition charcoal grill that Jacob is pretty pumped about

I'm not a huge petunia person but I wanted to go with bright purples and pinks in the back because we're doing reds, yellows, and white in the front of the house. This planter was only $5 at Lowes. Score!

Are you readying your outdoor spaces like we are? Can't wait to plant flowers out front tomorrow!

Easter Decor

Hi all!

If you're late in the decorating game like I am then maybe these will help you decide on a bit of Easter decor. Most of these images can be easily recreated.

There is something so cheerful and happy about Easter decor!

Have a great weekend!

Spring Lovin'

Hello!

It's yet another cold rainy day here in KY and I am trying to will on spring by posting pretty new spring-like items now out in stores. We have big plans for our backyard and patio this spring and I can't wait to get started. I love plants and flowers and can't wait to buy some bold prints for outdoor furniture.

Here are some springy items I'm lovin' today:
