Nursery Reveal

Good morning!

I am happy to finally reveal the completed nursery. Jacob and I both feel really good about it! From the beginning I knew I didn't want a girly-girl feel with a ton of pink but rather something that felt feminine and airy, I think I accomplished my goal.

These are the fabrics that we started with several months ago. I ended up adding in one more for the inner part of the bumper, it's a bird fabric I think she will like looking at as she grows.

Hold on to your hat because there are a ton of pictures!

Here is her bookcase filled with mementos, pictures, and of course books

This is your view from the door

The nursery has been mostly finished for weeks with the exception of choosing prints. I was stuck on it for a long time but I am happy with my decision.
(Left-redheaded little girl reading a book to animals, Middle-elephant with a rabbit on his trunk, Right-blond little girl holding a kitty)

We had the bedding custom made and I love it!

Bedding close up and of course she has a kitty waiting for her in her crib!

Here are the fabric poms I featured awhile back placed above the antique rocking chair

This chair was given to us by Jacob's dad and is something many of the men and women in his family have sat in as children. It was originally embroidered by our baby girl's great x5 grandmother. Amazing!

Here is the other side of the room. The mirror was an ugly gold framed picture that I took apart, spray painted white and had a mirror cut for. The mobile is white and pink paper butterflies

We are in love with the glider/rocker because it is so comfortable and I love the fabric! Perfect for reading books and rocking to sleep!

I love this print! It features the alphabet in French, which is perfect!

Other details include this picture taken by my good friend, Liz and the deer given to me by my dad when I was a little girl

This frame holds a special place in my heart because it is my late grandmas. On the left is my grandma, Vivian and her picture is mounted on her handkerchief. My mom's mom Gladys is on the right and above her is the only piece of her I have since we lost my grandpa and their house in a fire. It is a piece of a coffee mug that I remember her using and it's something I found in the rubble, it's a picture of a butterfly, which fits perfectly with the nursery. This is my way of bringing them into the room because I know they would love to meet their great granddaughter

The pink shoes are from my mom, I used to have pink shoes and would throw a fit (as a 5 year old) when I had to wear them and they didn't match my outfit.

Antique blocks from my good friend, Sheena

Here are the curtains that I labored over and her beautiful chandelier

I hope you have enjoyed the tour of our little girl's room!

    1. Hi-
I am searching for the French alphabet print on etsy now. I found it under another shop. Please tell me the size print, plus the size frame you chose. It looks perfect over the rocker, not too big, not too small and my nursery is set up similarly.
      Thank you!

    1. Ohh great!! It is at the top of my list - and it helps so much to see it in a real life room - vs. a staged PBK room! Love what you've done!!
